Screenwriters Network (SWN) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2017 by a collaboration of award-winning and produced screenwriters in London, UK.
After much frustration at many low-quality consultancy service and screenwriting competitions, SWN was born as a passion project between friends. A few years later SWN has now developed into a support network for screenwriters to experience and garnish real value from both our Script Consultancy Services and our SWN Screenplay Competition.
Our small but dedicated team strive to provide quality information and resources to screenwriters. Focusing on not only growing writers abilities, but representing them and providing them with ample exposure to progress their careers.
Starting off with just three experienced writers that have collectively worked for all major broadcasters in the UK, we're proud to have expanded our team to six passionate and experienced writers.
Alex has worked for companies such as MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. His roles and specialties in these companies lie in production and script consultancy. He has also had his scripts produced, including a feature-length; Fear of Fear.
Steve Couch edited the first ever broadcast program in 4k. He has worked for all the major broadcasters in the UK and many overseas. In 2001 Steve was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding achievement for his BBC Horizon documentary series; the Dawn of Man.
Samuel James is an English actor best known for playing the role of Garth Stubbs in the ITV sitcom Birds of a Feather. He has also starred in other popular UK TV programmes, Casualty, Doctors, Coronation Street and EastEnders.
Fleur has written feature films, broadcast TV drama, documentary and sit com. She was a Comedy Development Producer at the BBC and also a Script Developer at the Walt Disney Company. Fleur also judges for the Writers Guild Awards as well as the SWN Screenplay Competition.
